Bible verse of the day...Isaiah 12:4-5 (NIV)

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world." Isaiah 12:4-5 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse

I'm very touched with this verse tonight. I have seen some testimonies about the greatest of God from other people and it was very inspiring to me. I don't know if I have thank God enough for everything He has given me. From good things to trying moments. I must say that God is giving me some test at the moment. A very difficult test. However, it won't stop me from holding on to Him and calling out His name. I won't stop making testimonies and reflections despite this difficult time. I would still proclaim His greatness to every soul who can read my blog. I would still sing a worship and praise song to Him. Even if He take my life I won't stop telling the world His goodness. Jesus is the only true God and He is the only way to salvation. Whatever that may be experiencing we should not forget that He is there extending His hand to us. All we have to do is reach out. We may fall down sometimes but we should stand up because God has never give up on us. God is always good and He loves us more than anyone else. When we feel so down, let us call on to Him and He will comfort us. I know that because He has done that to me. I pray that whoever is sick, afraid, depressed or feeling helpless at this point, may God bring them peace and comfort in His love. Praise be the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God bless everyone who love Him more than themselves.

Bible verse of the day...2 Corinthians 8: 5 (NIV)

And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will. 2 Corinthians 8: 5 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse

In whatever we do, we must give ourselves to God. He should be our top priority and then, follow what He commands us to do. Sometimes with all the problems we encounter along the way and trying to overcome the pain we go through, we question God about it. However, bearing in mind that God will not give us something which we cannot bear, it makes me realize that I have to give my all to God first and do what He commands me to do. Then, everything else will follow. I pray that may God give us the strength and wisdom to endure all the suffering and sacrifices He has given us at this point in our lives. It maybe so difficult but God knows what He is doing. I surrender everything to Him.

Bible verse of the day...1 John 4:12 (NIV)

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:12 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse
One of the verses in the bible says that those who have pure hearts would see God. However, this verse says that if we love each other, He lives in us and the love He has for us makes it complete. If we look at the different verses in the bible we can see that Jesus have taught us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. It is an important law to follow and by doing that we become obedient children of God. With sincere and pure hearts , it is not impossible to see God.

Bible verse of the day...Ephesians 6:4 (NIV)

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse

Fathers of every child must be able to teach their children the ways of God. He must be able to lead them the proper and decent way of living. Discipline is very important in every home. Children sometimes doesn't know what they are doing and the role of the parents is crucial to their development. The guidance of a father is important to a child as he grows older. A father must be a role model to his child. Meaning he must live according to God's law and his ways should be based on the principles of the bible. A child may commit mistakes and a father should be firm with his discipline. However, should be gentle and calm in dealing with it.

Bible verse of the day...Romans 8: 28 (NIV)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse

Many things happen in our lives that we don't seem to understand. Oftentimes we ask God WHY it has to happen or sometimes others blame God for it. Whatever is going on with us, we should try to understand that God has a plan for each of us and it's for the best. It might hurt us in the process but in time when we look back we will realize the importance of that situation. It usually teaches us a lesson and help us become stronger spiritually, emotionally and mentally. Each of us has his calling and God merely directs us to the path which will lead us to our purpose. Therefore, let us trust God and hold on to our faith.

Bible verse of the day...James 1:12 (NIV)

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse

Every man has his own problem and none of us are spared. It can be anything, i.e. health, finances, family, etc. We may ask why this and that has to happen. This verse answers that question. We must try to be strong and hold on to our faith. Storms may come but we should not allow it to destroy us but rather help us become more stronger and tougher. Our Almighty God is true to His words. Problems help us become better individuals and worthy of God's kingdom. Hence, we must not have a weak heart and we must be able to stand up under any circumstance.

Bible verse of the day...Luke 12:48 (NIV)

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse

The verse is familiar to most of us. When God gives blessings to all, the bible says that to whom much is given, much is required and to whom much more is given, much more is required. I think this verse is applicable with our work and our tithing. For instance, if a man is placed to a higher position whether it be in a private or public entities, people expect much from him when it comes to his performance with his work. There is so much trust given to him from God and he should do his best with it. The same with the blessings we receive everyday. We should give to God what is due to Him. Not lesser than what we receive because everything that we have comes from God.
