For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. Exodus 31:15 (NIV)
My reflection of the verse
God wants us to observe sabbath because it is obvious that He made everything for six days and rested on the seventh day. He set an example so we could do the same. We can't be working for seven days but we should spend one day for the Lord. It means that every sabbath day we should go to our churches for worship service, attend bible studies, prayer meetings, and other activities that would strengthen our relationship with Jesus and also with the members of the church. It is great to start the week with full of inspiration and energy from our Almighty God.
