Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all. Proverbs 22:2 (NIV)
My reflection of the verse
In this world, there is a huge difference between rich and poor. We can see that many people around the planet are starving and children dying because of poverty. However, in first world countries, it's the opposite. Despite our economic status in life, we are created by the same God. We are all made of in His image and likeness. It is nobody's fault if we were born to a poor or rich family. I think it's a great blessing for us to be alive. If we were born rich, then, it's a great opportunity to help others who are less fortunate. But if we were born to a poor family, it doesn't mean that we should have self-pity but rather we should hold on to God and strive hard to augment our way of living. God has a plan for us whether we are rich or poor. We have the same God who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He guides us and protect us everyday. Hence, we are equal in His eyes.
