Bible verse of the day...1 John 2:1-2 (NIV)

My dear children, I will write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense - - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for us but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2: 1-2 (NIV)
My reflection of the verse:
This verse tells me that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die for our sins. I think as a sinner, I have to ask God's forgiveness for all the faults I did, in words and in deeds. I know He cares for us but we should repent for the sins we committed because the hour is near. Jesus will come back and I don't want to be left behind. I love Jesus more than anyone else in this world. I hope one day I will see Him and be with Him.

Bible verse of the day...Proverbs 1:29,31(NIV)

Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD... they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with fruit of their schemes. Proverbs 1:29, 31 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse:

If man chose not to know God's commandments, refuse to obey His laws, and does not fear Him, I think he will suffer the consequences of his action. Following Jesus ways may not be easy but I think we have to try our best to follow Him. Also, as responsible Christians we have to read and meditate His words to guide us in our daily lives. I personally can not survive without God's words because it helps me go through life and it gives me instructions as to how to live my life. I thank God for His messages in the bible.

Bible verse of the day... 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (NIV)

..... you are in Christ Jesus, who become for us wisdom from God -- that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse:

I think if a person is in Christ, he will have wisdom, knowledge and understanding because He is source of it. The characters of Jesus should be imitated, i.e. being righteous, holy, etc. and obeying His laws should be practiced. If I would do that I think blessings will over flow in my life. Also, as a Christian, I would not be ashamed of His name and I should proclaim all the wonders He did in my life. In that way, I give back all the glory to Him.

Bible verse of the day...Deuteronomy 1: 29-30

Then I said to you, "Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes." Deuteronomy 1: 29-30 (NIV)

My reflection of the verse:

I think God is telling me not to be afraid of anything. I know I'm going through a lot of things right now, i.e. practicum, papers to submit, paying all my bills, etc. But this verse is telling me that no matter how tough things are and no matter how big the problems are, He is there to guide me, give me wisdom, knowledge, understanding and strength to go through life. Life in general is not easy to handle but I have to hold on to God's promise that He will never forsake no matter what.
